Description:
Imagine stepping back in time only 10 miles from downtown Peoria. Wildlife Prairie State Park is a 2000 acre wildlife preserve and living history museum that portrays the Illinois countryside just like it would've been in 1800's.
The Park is home to native mammals, birds, reptiles and plants that were once prevalent throughout Illinois. Add to your visit with a ride on the scenic narrow-gauge railroad or a tour of the pioneer Homestead, complete with one-room schoolhouse and pioneer log cabin.
You can even host an event that will leave a lasting impression in one of our banquet rooms with picturesque views of the Bison and Elk pasture. Or explore another day after spending the night in one of our unique lodging accommodations; including Santa fe Train Cabooses, a Log Cabin and Grain Bins that have been renovated into Cottages.
An adventure awaits you every day at Wildlife Prairie State Park!
