Washington, IL.The former Burger King Building has been newly remodeled. The Washington Family Restaurant is open on Peoria Street across from Dairy Queen. It has quickly become a family favorite in the Washington area. This family style restaurant is open from 6 am to 9 pm seven days a week serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. They offer the largest breakfast selection all day long in the entire area including Swedish pancakes, waffles & fruit, biscuits and gravy, Greek omelets, traditional eggs and bacon, and great pancakes. They offer eight different skillet breakfasts ranging from Mexican skillets to Farmer skillets.
The lunch and dinner menu is extensive. Lunch and dinner specials are offered daily. Lunch includes soup and delicious, warm dinner rolls made from scratch daily at the restaurant. Dinner comes with soup or salad, a vegetable and warm roll. There is something for everyone on the dinner menu. Choices include home-made meat loaf, country fried steak, chicken or beef stir-fry, pork chops, catfish and much more! All-you-can-eat walleye on Friday nights is quickly becoming a Washington favorite. The walleye is hand-battered using a secret beer batter recipe.
